**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As a Macro Commodities Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting market data related to the global commodities markets. You will assist in generating investment ideas based on fundamental research and data analysis and help to develop and maintain quantitative valuation and trading models.

**Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze trends in the global commodities markets, with a focus on specific metals, energy products, and agricultural goods
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support decision-making by traders, salespeople, and other stakeholders
- Write regular reports on key developments in the commodities markets, highlighting potential opportunities and risks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant economic indicators and their impact on commodity prices
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts to gather first-hand intelligence on market conditions
- Use statistical methods and financial modeling techniques to forecast future price movements in specific commodities
- Monitor and interpret news stories, research reports, and other information sources to identify early signals of changing market conditions
- Collaborate with other members of the research team to develop comprehensive views of the commodities markets
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management in both verbal and written formats
- Support the trading desk by providing real-time analysis of market conditions and prices
- Assist in the development and implementation of hedging strategies for clients exposed to commodity price risk
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by senior management or clients
- Uphold strict level of private and confidentiality
- Any other ad-hoc task as assigned by the Company representative

**Requirements
- Degree in a related field with minimum two years of relevant commodity industry experience
- Working experience in Hedge fund industry is desired but not essential
- Cross-asset knowledge (fixed income, commodities, FX, equities)
- Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to details
- Ability to read in Chinese to handle Chinese documents of China/ Hong Kong markets
- Proficient in Bloomberg, familiarity with Trading Platforms
- Flexible, independent, resourceful, quick learner who possesses positive and can-do attitude
