Singapore PUB, The National Water Agency Full time

**What the role is**
- The Data Office supports PUB’s development of data capabilities through its functions in three domains. It oversees data governance across PUB to ensure compliance with IM8 and other directives while ensuring that PUB’s data needs (e.g. data sharing, discoverability, quality) are met. It also plans for PUB’s data infrastructure, executes projects to implement the required systems and manages the systems for PUB’s use. Lastly, the Data Office drives the adoption of data science across PUB by working with business units to develop Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) solutions in-house. The incumbent will be able to gain experience in data governance, including identification and management of key datasets and data quality.

**What you will be working on**
- The incumbent will be required to: - Assist the Data Office in putting together the Data Dictionary and Data Catalogue for key PUB datasets with the data owners/stewards - Assist with data sharing requests from departments/agencies - Assist the Data Office with implementing the data quality assessment scorecard across PUB to ensure PUB’s data sets are clean and updated for use and sharing - Perform research in Master Data Management and AI and analytics governance and provide recommendations on approach in implementation in PUB

**What we are looking for**
- Background in data governance, data quality, data science, quantitative social science, statistics, digital transformation or related fields Relevant training/certifications (e.g. Udemy, Coursera) may also be considered. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must, proficiency in R or Python would be an advantage - Have strong oral and written communication skills, including relationship management for engaging data stewards in stakeholder departments - Have strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills - Self-driven and motivated individual who is result-oriented - Experience in data governance, data dictionary, data catalogue, data quality management a plus All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
