**Underwriting Assistant, Political & Credit Risk - Asia Pacific**

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Underwriting Administration
- Manage workflow for receipt and tracking of all submissions in line with HDI triage procedure and response back to brokers / cedants accordingly within an allocated timeframe.
- Manage the team mailbox and ensure all correspondence is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner
- Transferal of underwriting information and correspondence into HDI Global document management system where appropriate
- Data entry of all policy types and endorsements using our underwriting data entry system - GERAS - on behalf of the team
- Ensuring a timely, efficient and appropriate workflow process is followed from start to finish

(2) Data Quality
- Work collaboratively with HDI Global Operations Department to monitor and review the Policy data input to GERAS, ensure compliance with data quality protocols
- Responsible for individual error rate and ensuring that this is in line with company standards & expectations
- Effectively liaise and transfer data and contribute to reporting within the CPRI Global Hub and colleagues in London and other HDI offices

(3) Managing Relationships
- Support the underwriters and HDI Global Operations Department by delivering high quality service to the business
- Develop and maintain a strong, long-term relationship with the underwriters along with their brokers by providing them with excellent service
- Work closely with wider HDI Global Operations Department to ensure an aligned approach

(4) Risk and Controls
- Ensure all risks comply with regulatory and compliance checks, which in turn are all performed within the underwriting guidelines, adhering to all Local and Group guidelines
- Implement and maintain process controls to ensure the quality of the output of your area within the function. Ensure documentation of the processes and output is accurate, up-to-date and accessible

(5) Process Improvement
- Make suggestions for process improvements within your role
- Enhance and improve the effectiveness of the service and systems used in the HDI Global Operations Department and if needed participate in special underwriting projects as required.

(6) Support all other functional activities as required, including project-related work
- Regular and ad-hoc engagement with other key functions of the business inc. Claims, Modelling, International Programmes), Finance (Credit Control) and Operations.
- Handling and developing current administrative functions including:

- Account and portfolio performance reporting
- Maintaining accuracy of risk records and adherence to internal best-practice
- Endorsement review and action where applicable
