Head of

Antina is seeking a hands-on leader to lead a team of 20 to 30 Engineers to build, operate and maintain its 5G Radio Networks.

The Engineering team will deploy and operate the 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) on the 3.5GHz and 2.1GHz spectrum bands, including 5G Outdoor Base Stations (BTS) and 5G small cells solution for Indoor coverage. It will also be responsible for the operating and maintenance of the peripheral systems including the security and network monitoring & management systems, trouble-ticketing systems, and end-to-end processes.

This strategic role will be accountable for operating an efficient, effective, reliable and secured Mobile 5G (3.5GHz and 2.1GHz) Radio Access Network as part of the full end-to-end 5G networks to enable sustainable creation of compelling products and services for the Consumer and Enterprise customers of both JV Partners (i.e., M1 and StarHub).

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of Mobile Engineers across various disciplines including Radio Technologies, Radio Security, Network Operations and Maintenance.
- Area of (Wireless) Coverage includes Outdoor/Indoor Radio deployments, implementation of Network Security with good understanding of Radio Principles and Radio Technologies.
- Maintaining the desired Network Performance, IMDA Quality of Service (QoS) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Network Coverage, Voice Success (or Drop Call) Rates, Data Success (or Drop Session) Rates & Speed, and others.
- Create and/or provide input into financial models and budgets used in the deployment of wireless technology with possible P&L analysis. Plan and develop the department’s operating and capital budgets and manage expenses to conform with budget
- Manage vendor relationships and lead various teams through RFP/I activities
- Be active in various industry forums, IMDA Working Groups to remain at the forefront of the technology.
- Provide future technology road maps and spectrum strategy in alignment with both JV Partners Business needs.
- Interact with Legal and Regulatory team to ensure the network deployed is in full compliance with the required Regulatory obligations.
- Be familiar and lead the various team members on audit requirements for Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), Security and Resiliency (SRII) and Telecommunication CyberSecurity (TSC).
- To prime and participate in key engagement with major Clients like IMDA, GovTech and other Enterprise Customers on Mobile requirements.
- Interact with Senior Leadership and other teams to define and communicate a wireless strategy.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technical or leadership role focused on wireless networks and architectures
- Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications and worldwide spectrum and telecommunications regulations
- Good technical understanding of end-to-end LTE and 5G connectivity protocols and 5G NR is a plus
- Proven record of leading an Engineering team in the development and maintaining the wireless networks.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with comprehensive knowledge of managing network interoperability and integrations.
- Ability to integrate various complex technologies and an understanding of government IT security standards as they relate to 5G wireless networks.
- Experiences in managing capex and opex budgets and service agreements to analyse budgets, jobs and monthly tracking for profitability
- Experience in Vendor Engagement and Management
- Experiences in managing cross-functional teams of more than 20 personnel
