**Senior Product Characterization Engineer**

We are looking for a talented, self-driven and motivated characterization engineer to be part of the AMD Characterization team. The Characterization team develops functional tests for measuring the performance of AMD Xilinx MPSoC products. Being a member of the characterization team requires passion and motivation to solve challenging technical problems.

Some core responsibilities would be:

- Design and develop functional tests for measuring performance of blocks within SoC for an ARM based SoC system.
- Developing tests for measuring performance of external interfaces like QSPI/SPI, ULPI, GEM/MDIO or other relevant industry standards.
- Develop FPGA system level designs to test for SoC performance
- Implement testing across process, voltage and temperature, analyze test results to discover trends and outliers
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to investigate and find solutions to various issues.
- Have a strong background in low-level C programming.
- MSEE/MSCS or BSEE/BSCS or related equivalent.
- Knowledge in ARM architecture and AMBA.
- Knowledge of SoC design and architecture, including debug solutions.
- Embedded software and device driver experience using Linux on FPGAs or SoCs.
- Good understanding of statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl or Python; familiar with LabVIEW for automated testing.
- Must be able to excel in a team environment with good interpersonal and communication skills.
