Job Responsibilities:
As the Marketing Director for Global Community and Influencers, you will lead out the strategy and direction for Razer’s Social Media and Influencer initiatives to grow Razer’s community at an exponential rate. You are required to have your hands on the pulse of gaming, esports and social media trends to ensure Razer stays in the forefront of its content game.
You will actively engage Razer’s Global Business Units and Regions to plan, develop and execute social media and influencer marketing initiatives and programs. This includes designing, implementing and monitoring effective social media content and identifying relevant key opinion leaders and content creators that align with Razer’s brand and vision. This role reports to the VP, Head of Global Marketing, and is a people manager position.
- Develop and drive the global social media and influencer strategy for Razer to grow its global fanbase exponentially
- Conceptualizing, planning and executing Razer’s community campaigns, and other strategic marketing initiatives and programs while working closely with and influencing marketing counterparts across the globe
- Align community activation efforts closely with the greater organization through regular engagement with Global Business Units and Regions on business priorities and requirements
- Be the custodian of Razer’s social media persona and rules of engagement
- Regularly review social media performance and insights to keep the business and marketing organization up to date with market/industry trends and initiatives to ensure our initiatives are relevant and competitive
- Be the thought-leader in evolving Razer’s approach to social media and to identify relevant engagement and content opportunities, along with exploring emerging social media platforms and trends
- Maintain relationships with online influencers/content creators through active outreach efforts
- Manage contracted influencer deliverables and prepare deliver routine reports (including performance data analysis) on relevant influencer metrics
- Scout for and review potential partnerships with the right influencers for the brand
- Plan and develop regionally and globally, marketing plans that involve the use of influencers to drive engaging, timely, and relevant conversations and content that can be deployed across different marketing channels.
Pre-Requisites:
- 8+ years social media, creative and brand marketing experience in comparable industries
- Proven work experience across multiple marketing specialties, with a strong inclination towards social media, community management and KOL management
- Strong sense of creativity and good eye for identifying emerging social media trends
- Strong ability to develop business cases and communicate succinctly the value of social media and influencers to overall company efforts
- Demonstrated experience in influencing, developing and motivating people from diverse backgrounds; able to lead cross-functional global business teams
- Ability to mentor and nurture talent to deliver on social media excellence, as well as to undertake marketing leadership/opinion leader roles
- If you are gamer, pro or casual is a plus - you should be extremely curious and have an unstoppable passion about the gaming industry
- Able to work in highly complex situations and matrix organizations to drive effective results
- Embrace and take advantage in high performance, fast-paced working environment, empowering your team with creativity and ownership to drive results
- Good communication skills, verbal and written in English is a must
