**About our group**:
The RMO HDI-Reliability Laboratory’s primary mission provides Mechanical test solutions to enable media process and product qualification as well as product yield, quality, and reliability. The team also serves a critical role in the Media mechanical design and development, Tribology tester, and mDVL tester design and maintenance; in addition, to test script development and modification. The team works closely with the extended R&D and Manufacturing Operations teams.

Our vision is to advance in the Head-Disc Mechanical Development and Mechanical Testing solutions to enable media/substrate process and product quality and reliability.

**About the role - you will**:
The incumbent will oversee the Lab operation and resources management, mechanical test roadmap, and technical development.
- Lead a team to develop and deploy the technologies to meet the Mechanical CTQ (customer technical requirement) and the reliability requirements of media in the hard disc drive.
- Manage lab resources and deploys media mechanical technical solutions into high-volume manufacturing, ensuring high product quality, reliability, and production.
- Work closely with FRC (USA Media design center) and the Drive design team (Asia/USA) in the innovation of media mechanical design.
- Work closely with cross-functional to solve critical product issues and leverage new technology.
- Manage and lead the team in conducting design/testing/data analysis leveraging the tribo-tester, mDVL tester, and other high-tech types of equipment
- Ensure that the expected drive hardware, drive firmware, Drive level testing, and programming meet the scheduled deliverables

- Dedicated and Team oriented, self-motivated achiever
- Innovation in Test hardware and software.
- Proficient problem-solver with analytical skills to evaluate risks and business strategies
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with good presentation capabilities
- MSc / PhD in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering/Electronic Engineering

**Your experience includes**:

- Knowledge and skills in mechanical and reliability test, tester setup such as tribology, mDVL hardware and Software, including Electronics, Signal Processing, Programming - will be Crucial in this role
- More than 5-year of experience in managing a team in Drive level testing and lab operation
- Accomplished lab skills, including operation of oscilloscopes, analyzer, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.

**Location**:
Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore. housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT station, with many employees taking mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
