**About our client**:Our client is a leading global specialty chemical manufacturing company.

**About the role**:

- Organize and conduct safety trainings to strengthen the HSE awareness in the plant.
- Conduct safety inspections with employees and contractors.
- Drives behavior-based safety observation program.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance department for fire protection/detection systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Organize and conduct safety inspections in the plant
- Manages HSE data, reports and documentation
- Be a reviewer for risk assessments and permit to work.
- Be part of the crisis management support team member
- Conduct emergency response training and drills.
- Develop HSE programs and procedures
- Supports security, waste, and environmental management.
- Support in implementation and participate in the continuous improvement effort in the areas of Safety, Quality, Environment and Health Management System (for example ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651 and company standards).
- Other tasks/projects assigned by HSE manager.

**About you:
**Education**:Diploma or Advanced Certificate with the relevant skill certification.

**Experience**:

- Minimum WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) with at least 2 years’ experience in similar chemical plant industry.
- Registered Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantage.
- Experience as document controller for EHS Management Systems and relevant ISO standards.
- Experience in Safety Management during turnaround/ shutdown.
- Willing to work in Jurong Island and weekends if required.

**Knowledge**:

- General safety instructions, emergency plans, safety plans, safety training modules, service instructions.
- Equipment of intervention, detection and protection.
- Main regulatory references in the HSEQ areas, the principles of prevention.
- Microsoft Office.
- Industrial hygiene: knowledge of the regulations in force.
- Chemical, physical, biological risks.
- Working conditions.
