We break through the status quo and do what others haven't, can't or won't **Grit** | We get the job done and keep going, so our customers can do the same **Optimism** | We have a can-do attitude, and instead of saying "no", we figure out how **Virtue** | We do what's right, the right way—especially when it's difficult **Solidarity **| When we celebrate each other and our differences, we all do better **POSITION OVERVIEW** **Principal Accountabilities** - Implement social media monitoring tools to detect events, such as industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestions, cargo disruptions, etc. that can impact supply chain resiliency. - Analyze incoming data streams and report time-sensitive risk alerts based on information obtained from open source media. - Write short, real time alerts and longer, ad-hoc risk analysis reports on critical events. - Monitor current affairs with a focus on Asia, identify new sources and establish regional networks for intelligence gathering. - Cleanse and assess data quantitatively to provide data-driven analysis on critical situations. - Provide recommendations to clients on how to manage supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity. - Understand and help solve client business challenges by working with cross-functional teams, like sales, customer success, and product management. - Position Everstream Analytics as a thought-leader in supply chain risk management through special reports and webinars. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** - Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or any other Social Sciences required. - 1-2 years' work experience in journalism, international affairs, or intelligence monitoring highly desirable. - English: Proficient, both oral and written. Ability to write error-free is a must. - Passion for current affairs and news, with knowledge of socioeconomic & political dynamics in Asia, and a basic understanding of supply chain processes. - Proficiency in other languages, such as Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Korean Tamil, Hindi, Vietnamese, or Bahasa Indonesia highly desirable. - Ability to act in a global environment, with good interpersonal skill and understanding of cultural differences and behaviors. - Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced environment, and manage uncertainty.
