Overview of the role

The F5 Public Cloud Global Solutions Architect (GSA) team is committed to our mission of growing F5 cloud product and services adoption through our public cloud partners and their ecosystems. We are responsible for the global technical relationship management, technical integration and sales enablement for our public cloud partners. As a Public Cloud Global Solutions Architect (GSA), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of F5’s cloud solution portfolio.

The Global Solution Architect (GSA) is a technical leadership role supporting Sales and is part of a global team of solution architects. The primary responsibility of the GSA is to increase the efficiency of the field sales engineering organization, working to deliver solution packages, content, enablement and other assets to the technical field. The GSA acts as a liaison between customers and the Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development teams, to ensure our customer requirements are understood internally. The GSA also works closely with F5’s internal teams and helps build technical sales readiness through our product updates, new product launches, and acquisitions.

What you’ll do?- Partner with cloud providers and F5 product team to develop and deliver integrated service offerings, reference architectures, deployment automations, etc. to enable innovation and demonstrate best practices around F5’s advanced cloud solutions- Play the role of an evangelist, thought leader, mentor in the field of public cloud- Collaborating with other solution architects, build technical sales readiness of F5’s Solution Engineers- Work closely with our internal product management and services teams and provide technical and business understanding for product launches and updates that would be beneficial for our customers- Collect feedback from partner and F5 field teams and coalesce feature requirements for product management and product development- Work on strategic opportunities across all geographies and provide technical expertise on public cloud adoption

How you’ll do it?- Expertise in secure multi-cloud architectures- Liaison between Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Product Development and Services-
- Deep knowledge of F5 Solutions

What you’ll bring?- Deep technical skill in software architecture and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills at all levels of an organization- Expert knowledge or certification with AWS, Azure or GCP; or other relevant technologies and certifications- Experience in speaking at industry/customer events, publishing whitepapers/solution articles and blogs-
- Hands on experience with industry automation tools, like Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, and AWS CloudFormation Templates, Azure Resource Manager templates, etc.- Expertise in multiple programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang, etc.)- Extensive experience making product demonstrations and technical presentations to technical and business leads- 8+ years of cloud solution development in a relevant environment (pre-sales experience, a plus)- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
