Hypervisor Engineer

DESIGNATION : Hypervisor Engineer - MAMK RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and implement hypervisor solutions, including architecture, configuration, and deployment. - Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure, including hypervisors, virtual machines, and virtual networks. - Monitor and optimise hypervisor performance to ensure maximum efficiency, uptime, and system stability. - Troubleshoot and resolve hypervisor-related issues, providing level 2 and 3 support. - Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge management systems for hypervisor infrastructure. - Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the integrity and performance of the hypervisor environment. - Assist in evaluating new hardware/software for performance improvements. - Perform any duties delegated by the Authority when required, related to hypervisors and associated technologies. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 1 years of experience with VMware or Nutanix, or other hypervisor technologies. - Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage. - VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA), or similar certifications are a plus. - Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial. - Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) is highly desirable. - Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues. - Excellent documentation and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
