Position Summary

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth investigative research on specific AML/CFT related issues related to South and Southeast Asia such as sanctions, organized crime, human trafficking, wildlife trafficking, cybercrime, and related threat finance research.
- Analyse a wide range of data sources in local languages to produce daily structured reports and content updates.
- Maintain a high level of regional and portfolio country expertise by monitoring breaking news for relevant developments.
- Research and extract data from all applicable sources, ensure accuracy and quality of findings by complying with policies and applicable laws.
- Provide regular status updates on research projects to research manager.
- Effectively collaborate with teams across offices in multiple time zones.

**Qualifications**:

- Native level proficiency in any Asian language is required.
- Must possess keen attention to detail, excellent research, writing and analytical skills, and enjoy in-depth investigations to uncover difficult to access information
- Knowledge of political and threat finance issues in APAC region.
- Understanding of sanctions, law enforcement and regulatory enforcement bodies and relevant national laws concerning the Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regime in APAC region.
- Relevant professional experience including internships, research assistantships, and independent projects that rely on both qualitative and quantitative skills would be preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in international relations, political science, security studies, history, foreign languages, or other humanities fields. Outstanding recent graduates in other fields or those with proven experience will also be considered.
