**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Develop research project plans and manage project timelines
- Design, plan, and perform experiments independently
- Analyse and interpret experiment results independently
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and results
- Present regular project progress updates to the Discovery team and senior management
- Communicate research plans and findings internally and externally through presentations and written reports
- Perform literature review of relevant topics as needed
- Manage and mentor research associates
- Perform other related duties as required

**JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Ph.D. or post-doctoral research experience in Immunology
- Minimum of 2 years post-doctoral research experience in an academic and/or an industry setting, preferably in the translational implementation of basic research
- Extensive experience with primary T cell culture and T cell functional assays
- Extensive experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry assays (panel design and data analysis)
- Extensive experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., molecular cloning and PCR)
- Experience with lentiviral vectors and gene-editing techniques is a plus
- Experience with in vivo techniques, with demonstrated skills in intravenous and intraperitoneal injections, blood sampling, and tissue collection
- Experience with autoimmune diseases is a plus
- Experience in the cell therapy field is a plus
- Demonstrated independence in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment
