Our understanding of the underlying biology of lung cancer has transformed with the identification of molecular subtypes of disease. However, the key drivers of tumour initiation and progression, which may underpin these subtypes remain to be completely elucidated.

We are looking for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow with a strong background in bioinformatics to lead projects focused on the developmental cellular origins and pulmonary cell-lineage of lung cancer. He/she will be responsible for the following:

- Integrated analyses of an array of cutting-edge genomic and transcriptomic datasets, such as single-cell RNA-Seq and spatial transcriptomics profiles of normal lung and lung cancer tissue from patient samples.
- These datasets will be used to characterise cell lineage and their early development, and to study regulation of gene expression and pathways that drive malignant transformation at the cellular level.
- Ultimately, this may identify therapeutic vulnerabilities in early malignant cell states - through an understanding of the evolutionary roadmap from differentiated pulmonary cell to oncogene driven malignant cell and adaptive responses to therapy.

**Job Requirements**
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) in biological science or computational biology.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Genomics and RNA-Seq data analysis
- Differential gene expression profiling
- Genomic and/or transcriptomic single-cell expression analysis
- Spatial transcriptomic analysis.
- Statistical analysis (e.g., using R, Matlab).
- Programming (e.g., python).
- Wet lab skills will be an advantage, but not essential.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and independently.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting.
