Our client is a SA Government Agency who seeks an** Estimator/ Cost Analyst** with experience analysing actual costs compared to estimating, and providing analysis results to the team.

Looking for someone who is keen to take ownership and notify team of current trends when doing the analysis. You will have strong communication skills and work well as a team member. You will be a go-getter and thrive on the analytics side of the role.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist in the collaborative approach to continuous improvement in estimation, analysis and bench marking to support the delivery of Asset Operations and Delivery business objectives.
- Preparation of cost estimates for capital work programs and projects, including change requests to existing programs.
- Assist preparation of Opportunity and Risk cost impact analysis for inclusion in the estimate.
- Evaluation of contractor tender costs and provide structure for contractors to supply cost data for internal modelling and benchmarking.
- Maintain and analyse actual project cost data and maintain the estimating database and models to ensure information is current.
- Prepare documentation and reports, including maintaining and analysing cost data for use in the estimating database.
- Support the analysis of project costs at completion
- A Technicians certificate or Engineering qualification or equivalent/Associate Diploma in Engineering or equivalent - Essential
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and analysis of actual costs - Essential
- Ability to interpret general engineering drawings - Essential
- An understanding of cost management and the use of financial management systems to extract cost information - Desirable
- Experience in the practise of Opportunity and Risk based estimating - Desirable
- Experience in the use of estimating computer system software in particular spreadsheets and databases. - Desirable

**Job Details**:

- Location: Adelaide CBD. WFH options - minimum 3 days in office
- 12 month contract
- Hourly Rate: $55.00-$57.95 per hour
