**Job purpose**:
Joining our 18 month Graduate Programme will give you the training and support you require to become successful in your new role at Commerzbank. The programme is designed for recent Graduates and you must therefore have graduated within the past 12 months.

The Graduate Programme includes product and technical training designed for Trainees globally. Here, you will participate in technical courses, workshops, e-learning and case studies designed to provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of the various areas within the world of investment banking. This will also include training specific to Treasury.

You will gain an overview of operational and strategic tasks of the Treasury function, learning and understanding of Treasury’s global mandate as manager of the bank’s scare financial resources.

Treasury Singapore has two main desk. You will be learning and working at both desks:
Treasury Core: Treasury dealers manage the financial resources of the Commerzbank Group, on liquidity, currency and interest basis.

Treasury Structured Solutions Trading and Sales: engages in the full suite of credit related products and providing asset and liability management solutions to internal or external clients (yield enhancement solutions, risk management strategies, financing structures as well as delivering balance sheet optimization etc).

**Key activities**:

- Assist in providing support on a day-to-day basis, ensuring essential procedures are implemented and standards of practice maintained in both Treasury teams, given the necessary training, opportunities to interact/work with traders and work on structuring/trading ideas.
- Assist in developing and define processes, systems and procedures ensuring standards and requirements are met and improving efficiency
- Responsibilities may also include reports generation, presentations preparation, trade inputs, gathering market information and others
- To be groomed and developed into a Treasury dealing assistant in managing the bank books
- Assist the dealer to monitor different kind of internal and external limits
- Responsible and accountable for the monitoring of positions, mark-to-market, P/L, risk of all books and other tasks directed by Head of desk
- Provide other ad-hoc administrative and documentary support where required
- To adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

**Formal education**:

- Recent graduates with not more than 1 year of professional work experience (excluding internships)
- A degree in a numerate discipline from a top tier university with GPA above 3.5 (on score of 4.0) or 2nd Class Upper
- A higher degree such as Master Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics is preferred

**Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification)**:

- Is very interested in working in the financial markets and have some understanding of basic derivative products and economic developments
- A good level of computer literacy. Proficiency in MS Office (particularly in Excel and VBA programming skills).
- Fluent in English. Other language skills, particularly German, Mandarin or Korean would be an advantage
- Relevant work/internship experience within a financial institution, ideally in Treasury or support function (Risk Management or Finance)
