**Job Description & Requirements**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Engine oil and filter changes.
- Lubricating joints, bearings, and other moving parts.
- Inspecting and maintaining tire pressure and condition.
- Checking and replacing coolant, transmission fluid, and hydraulic fluids.
- Tuning and adjusting diesel engines for fuel efficiency and performance.
- Diagnosing and repairing issues like overheating, knocking, or loss of power.
- Maintaining heavy-duty manual and automatic transmissions.
- Clutch replacements and adjustments.
- **Air Brake Systems**:Inspecting, repairing, and replacing air compressors, brake chambers, valves, and lines.
Ensuring brake systems comply with safety standards.
- **Emergency Braking Systems**:Testing and servicing emergency braking mechanisms.

Using advanced diagnostic tools and software (e.g.,Jeltest) to:

- Identify electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
- Detect emissions or engine performance problems.
- Repairing and maintaining electrical components, including:Battery systems, alternators, and starters.
Wiring, lighting, and auxiliary systems (e.g., GPS or fleet management systems).
- Inspecting and repairing suspension systems designed for heavy loads.
- Servicing axles and driveline components like U-joints, differentials, and driveshafts.
- Ensuring compatibility and functionality of the trailer with the prime mover:Inspecting and maintaining fifth wheels or towing hitches.
Testing and repairing trailer electrical and braking connections.
- Servicing radiators, cooling fans, thermostats, and hoses.
- Flushing and replacing coolants to prevent overheating.
- Minor welding repairs on frames, exhaust systems, and brackets.
- Custom fabrication as needed for load-specific configurations.
- Conducting inspections to ensure prime movers meet regulatory standards (e.g., emissions, braking efficiency).
- Preparing vehicles for safety certifications and audits.
