**About the Job**:
We are seeking a Research Officer for Quality Control (QC) and Innovation, with a primary focus on QC to ensure the reliability, consistency and excellence of Acoerela products.
The main responsibility of this role is to carry out production and QC testing on all product batches and to establish, optimise, and implement QC protocols. This includes:
- Performing QC assays and analyses on existing and new product batches
- Identifying and addressing gaps in current QC workflows
- Designing and validating improvements in QC protocols
- Developing clear reporting systems for both internal records and customer-facing documentation
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, where hands-on QC testing not only safeguards product quality but also fuels innovation, directly supporting the commercialisation and evolution of cutting-edge science.
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Independent and motivated individual with a passion for scientific research
- Ability to plan and complete work assignments in a timely manner
- Effective problem solving and communication skills
- Good Laboratory Practices
- Practical experience and/or knowledge of:
- Biological chemistry, cell biology, or biochemistry
- Characterisation techniques including absorbance/fluorescence measurements, dynamic light scattering, flow cytometry or fluorescent microscopy
- Quality Control procedure
- Cell culture and aseptic techniques
- Knowledge of working with nanoparticles is highly sought after
- Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
**Duties**:
Daily tasks include production and routine QC/QA, research work and other administrative work assigned by the supervisor.
**Coverage**:
- The position is tenable for one year with option for renewal
- Monthly salary with CPF contribution, annual bonus, performance bonus and other benefits, if eligible
- Performance-based annual increment
