Creative Project Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Dual Project Leadership**: Simultaneously plan, execute, monitor, and close two large-scale student presentation events (local and global levels) ensuring both run smoothly and successfully within the same time frame.

2. **Stakeholder Engagement**: Act as the primary point of contact and skillfully liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including student participants, volunteers, academic staff, event committees, judges, and high-level corporate sponsors. Maintain positive and professional relationships across all levels.

3. **Strategic & Tactical Management**: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, while also being deeply involved in the hands-on operational details and logistics required for flawless event execution. Maintain both the big-picture vision and a keen eye for detail.

4. **Creative Input & Problem Solving**: Contribute creative ideas for event flow, presentation formats, and engagement, while proactively identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions under pressure.

5. **Communications & Media Relations**: Craft compelling press releases, event descriptions, and other communication materials. Liaise directly with media outlets to generate positive coverage and manage enquiries.

6. **Resource Coordination**: Manage event resources, including venue logistics, technical requirements (AV, streaming), volunteer coordination, and materials preparation.

7. **Reporting & Documentation**: Provide regular progress updates to the planning committee and other key stakeholders. Maintain clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

**Who You Are**:

- **Experienced Project Manager**: Proven track record (ideally 2+ years) in managing complex projects or events from conception to completion, preferably within education, non-profit, or event management sectors.
- **Meticulously Organized**: You excel at planning, scheduling, and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously without letting details slip through the cracks.
- **Creative Thinker**: You bring fresh perspectives and aren't afraid to suggest innovative approaches.
- **Exceptional Communicator**: You possess outstanding written (press release quality) and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable presenting to different audiences and skilled in media liaison.
- **People Person**: You genuinely enjoy working with diverse groups - from enthusiastic student volunteers to senior corporate sponsors - and can adapt your style accordingly. You build rapport easily.
- **Proactive & Hands-On**: You demonstrate strong initiative, anticipate needs, and are willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the practical aspects of event delivery.
- **Dual-Focused**: You can effortlessly switch between strategic, big-picture thinking and managing granular, task-level details.
- **Resilient & Positive**: You maintain composure under pressure and possess a great sense of humour, which helps navigate the inevitable challenges of event management.
- **Tech Savvy**: Proficient in standard office software and comfortable learning new project management or event platforms.

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience working directly with student populations or educational institutions.
- Experience managing volunteers.
- Direct experience in PR or media relations.
