Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Management:
- Manage the full cycle of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure a smooth process.
Technology & Process Innovation:
- Proactively manage, optimize, and leverage our existing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new accounting technologies and automation tools to improve workflows.
- Act as the department lead for troubleshooting system issues and training team members on new features and technologies.
Business Partnership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with clients to provide financial analysis and support strategic initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Additional professional certification (e.g., pursuing CPA, CMA) is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years or aspiration to supervisory capacity.
- Must be technologically proficient with advanced skills in major accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Demonstrable interest and familiarity with emerging accounting technologies is essential (e.g., RPA, AI-powered analytics, cloud-based ERP systems). Prior hands-on experience is a significant advantage.
