**Project Title: Assessment and Evaluation SGA**
**Project Introduction**:The Assessment & Evaluation SGA aims to strengthen the assessment and evaluation capacity in NIE’s programmes and research. The project requires a three-stage approach of identifying current strengths and opportunities, developing strategies to harness the opportunities and also evaluate how successful these strategies are. The role of the Research Assistant will be to support these approaches.
**Requirements**:
Director’s Office is currently recruiting a highly motivated Research Assistant to perform relevant research and administrative duties to support the work of the Assessment and Evaluation SGA Workgroup.
- Experience in literature review, research methodologies, data analyses, and report writing. Record of scientific writing skills and published papers is an advantage.
- Having published on the topic of assessment OR evaluation will be a strong advantage.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess good project management and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proactive, willing to learn, reliable and able to manage concurrent tasks in a timely manner.
**Responsibilities**
- Help to conduct survey/collate information on assessment and evaluation (projects, courses, staff).
- Help to identify and review assessment and evaluation curriculum and practices across ITP, HD and PD programmes to improve coherence in the areas of assessment and evaluation.
- Help with literature review in related publications on assessment and evaluation.
- Help in identifying areas of focus in research related to assessment and evaluation.
- Support recording keeping in the various workstreams of the SGA, e.g., NIE special interest group in assessment and evaluation.
- Help to develop repository of resources on assessment and evaluation.
- Help draft bite-sized information on assessment and evaluation to communicate with the NIE community.
- Help to prepare progress reports and DSM papers related to the assessment and evaluation SGA.
