**Overview**:The General Accounting Specialist shall support the Finance team in the discharge of their duties.

**Specific tasks**:

- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable/receivable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable/receivable ledger to ensure that all financial transactions are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable/receivable status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understand sales accounts
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable/receivable processes

**Qualification**:

- Proven working experience as Accounts Payable/Receivable Executive
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and general accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheet and proprietary software
- Proficient in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Graduate of BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent
