This position reports to the Yield Manager and will be involved in the Yield Engineering of specific product lines.
- Investigate root causes of yield loss in a volume semiconductor-manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include finding, reporting, tracking, and driving corrective actions of Yield issues.
- The interns must deploy yield enhancement strategies to characterize and react to yield issues and baseline shifts quickly, performing first-level commonality analysis and initiating involvement process and Equipment Engineers to resolve.
- Assist engineering in short-term problem solving and long-term continuous improvement for yield improvement and cost-saving projects.
- Daily monitor product yield and highlight low yield issues if have, analyze sort yield data, inline metrology data, and defect data
- Achieve targeted product yield to reduce overall product cost and to fulfill downstream production line output and end.
- Develop new methods and tools used for yield enhancement independent from existing practices
- Involve in productivity improvement project through process optimization through the use of quality improvements tools
- Assist engineering in short-term problem solving and long-term continuous improvement for yield improvement and cost-saving projects.
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent qualifications
- Ability to understand Quality & Yield performance by product, process & equipment.
- Understand the whole process of the production line from setup to the final test
- Able to analyze the abnormality and scrap with analysis tool & database
- Cross function interaction and continuous improvement across various departments
