Application Specialist

**Responsibilities**:

- To become an expert in running and presenting on Bruker’s timsTOF MS systems & solutions (incl. software & consumables) primarily for Proteomics, through extensive training (local & international), on-the-job learning and using prior experience.
- Deliver technical sales presentations to prospective customers including in-person, online and at conferences as part of the presales strategic plan to drive BLSMS timsTOF MS platform-based Proteomics solution growth in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and India
- Perform postsales data analysis with statistical and bioinformatics software tools
- Liaise closely with key customer site scientists to become integral in their Proteomics research projects in order to drive the mass spectrometry research component of each project
- Be involved in publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals with key Proteomics customer site scientists
- Perform demonstrations to/sample analyses for prospective customers using customer Bruker timsTOF MS instrumentation and provide expert advice to customers during the sales process, focusing on how Bruker timsTOF-based system solutions will address and benefit the customer’s Proteomics needs
- Ensure that the Bruker timsTOF MS instrumentation, analysis and customer demonstrations are properly prepared, in order to guarantee the highest level of customer experience in a timely manner
- Perform on-site trainings and mentoring on Bruker timsTOF MS instrumentation and software to other users, both at key customer site and other external sites. Training can include hands on instrument training and class room teaching
- Perform training courses on timsTOF MS instrumentation and software for customers and in-house staff/dealers (including engineers and other service support staff) as necessary
- Develop and maintain technical expertise on Bruker’s timsTOF MS systems & software products/solutions for Proteomics
- Perform and assist in the production of manuals, marketing materials and other documentation (Eg, Application Notes, Technical Sales Notes) as necessary
- Attend applicable conferences representing Bruker and deliver oral and/or poster presentations including at Bruker workshops/seminars
- Monthly reporting of activities
- Participating in Bruker-internal trainings via online to keep knowledge current

Qualifications:
**Requirements**:

- Masters degree or Ph.D degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Proteomics related field is a pre-requisite.
- Minimum 5-years of hands-on user experience in operating ESI-MS instrumentation in the Proteomics discipline. Experience with Bruker MS instrumentation is considered an advantage.

**Language Skills**

Excellent communications skills in oral and written English, must be able to write at an advanced scientific level

**Computer Skills**:
Relevant office related software packages required such as Word processing, Excel and Powerpoint. Specific knowledge of the operating software for Bruker Daltonics Mass Spectrometer systems is a plus

**Reasoning Ability**

Good troubleshooting skills, scientific thinking and teaching skills are required
