**About the role**:
We are looking for a skilful, meticulous and versatile writer with marketing acumen to take the reins in day-to-day writing for BandLab’s various marketing channels. You will play an integral role in writing our social posts, blogs, ads, and more - while ensuring that the brand’s style and voice is reflected across each platform.

Reporting to the Senior Copywriter, this role adapts to different writing styles with ease, using language that is relatable to our target audience of Gen-Zs and millennials while being hyper aware of cultural nuances. If you're an avid writer who is energised by the challenge of transforming the mundane to meaningful, we want to hear from you.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Creating educational, relatable and entertaining content for the BandLab blog in our voice and style. Scheduling and uploading posts on Wordpress.
- Writing copy for eDMs, in-app messages and push notifications.
- Refreshing paid ad copy and testing different variations to see what works best.
- Writing copy that cuts through the noise, elevates the customer experience, and tells a strong brand story connected to our vision and mission.
- Optimising copy for SEO & SEM to elevate the brand to a wider audience.
- Exploring new ways to storytell our brand narrative across digital formats.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in copywriting, journalism or similar roles at a creative agency/studio or in-house.
- Portfolio showcasing writing capabilities through campaign work, social media writing, long and short-form writing, and more.
- Flexible writing ability ranging from five-word headlines to 1,500-word blogs.
- A self-starter who takes initiative, is solutions-oriented and possesses a constant desire to improve.
- Someone who is collaborative and can form good working relationships with different individuals, teams and stakeholders.
- Someone who writes with empathy, constantly looking for new ways to surprise, delight and engage our users.
- A digital native with a finger on the pulse of popular culture (especially in our key markets like the US) with awareness of emerging trends in music.
- Love for music and music production are a plus
