Job Title: Welcome Host & Events Coordinator

**Occupation: Host (Food & Beverage Services)**

A front of the house role focused on the welcome experience for diners, managing reservations and communicating with customers online and offline and coordinating event requests & proposals

**Job Description & Requirements
Welcome Host. (Full time)

Wed - Sun (11am to 9pm) including break

This role reports to the Restaurant Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcoming all diners and seating them to their designated tables
- Taking reservations by phone and managing online reservations & table assignment
- Noting special requests at the time of reservations and communicating with service and kitchen team
- Organising birthday/anniversary and special arrangements
- Ensuring that customers receive prompt attention
- During service briefings, communicate accurate reservations data and highlight any VIP guests requiring special attention
- Managing the online reservations platform and generate monthly reports to review with management and provide recommendations to maximize revenue
- Receiving event or group bookings, communicating with customer and offering options before informing management to assist with approving and closing the event.
- During events, ensure seating and arrangements are made as per event order and customer’s preferences
- Ensure weekly and monthly revenue targets are being met for number of covers
- Substitute for or assist others during emergencies or rush periods, show teamwork
- Maintain professional and positive demeanour with all staff at all times and be a real team player with the kitchen and service staff, with leading bar operations as an example for all
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Learn and follow through occasional managerial duties when assigned
- Support Restaurant Manager’s decisions and execute delegated duties
- Follow instructions and task completion given by management
- Ability to work on split shifts and on weekends

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well groomed, observing good personal hygiene and organisational skills
- Degree or diploma in hospitality preferred but not neccessary
- Experience of working in a restaurant or hotel for at least 1 years and/or in a similar position for at least 1 year
- Strong passion in communicating and assisting customers
- Able to communicate in polite and yet engaging manner with customers
- The ability to remain warm and calm under pressure and while multitasking
- Exceptional prioritising skills, efficient and productive
- Positive, responsive, reliable
