The Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team plays a critical role in conducting close-loop data-driven business iterations. As business intelligence specialists and data analysts, our scope of work is not limited to just performance monitoring and reporting, but also in proactively finding actionable insights to help drive high-impact business changes. Our end-to-end data solution reduces the gap between the business teams and technical teams, and achieves real ‘intelligence’ in the iteration cycle. - Gather business requirements from different functional teams and translate them into suitable data requirements
- Ensure adequacy and accuracy of Shopee critical reports/dashboards and finance related reports
- Proactively engage with stakeholders and product teams to ensure that all data is up to date according to the latest feature developments
- Able to think on your feet to troubleshoot business issues or investigate irregular KPI spikes due to business developments
- Coordinate and work with data engineers to optimise the data flow from raw data into data marts
- Conduct data analysis on business issues under tight deadlines
- Work with big data at Shopee using the Hadoop ecosystem to ensure data pipeline integrity together with our data engineers
- Design, automate and maintain critical reports for business needs

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics or any related field
- Prior data related experience in top-tier internet companies, internship or full-time
- Hands-on experience with large amounts of data using SQL and Python is compulsory
- Good knowledge in Pyspark, Pytorch and the Hadoop ecosystem is preferred
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Outstanding in interpersonal communications
- Strong analytical skills with work experience in data-driven analysis under pressure
- Able to make analytical recommendations and provide business insights to the senior management
- Ability to pay attention to details and manage tasks effectively
