**The Job**:
You will be part of the Group Strategic Investment team that supports the Group’s inorganic growth and achievement of its strategic business objectives in this area. You will coordinate and work closely with various functional teams across the Group, the Group’s International team, and external advisers to source, review as well as execute merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities across selected international markets and real estate sectors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage all activities required for M&A transactions, from deal sourcing/origination, underwriting, business case formulation, due diligence, negotiation to execution
- Work with senior leaders across the Group’s business units to identify M&A opportunities across selected markets, and with the Group’s corporate functional departments to manage the transaction process
- Work closely with business units to undertake research, executing transactions, coordinating due diligence process with internal stakeholders and external advisers, as well as preparing investment proposals and presentation for approval
- Proactively build pipeline of M&A opportunities in selected markets
- Provide market insights and proposal as to selection of targets and markets to focus
- Any other ad hoc strategic and investment related works

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Real Estate, Accountancy, Finance or equivalent. CFA or other equivalent additional qualifications preferred.
- At least 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in major corporates, investment banks, or investment related firms. Real estate experience and international or cross-border working experience preferred.
- Good track record in executing transactions, including M&A, acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, or other relevant corporate actions. Experience in managing regulatory requirement for a publicly listed corporate is preferred.
- Strong understanding in customary M&A mechanism, corporate finance, valuation methodologies as well as M&A analysis and assessment. Numerical competence and ability to run and understand complex financial models is a must.
- Strong ability to network and cultivate deal flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, out-of-the-box thinking, writing, presentation and project coordination skills
- Professionally mature in engaging senior leaders as well as internal and external stakeholders, across multiple geographies
