Associate Psychologist

**The Challenges**
This position requires the Associate Psychologist to assist in providing psychological services for management of patient care within a multi-disciplinary setting. These include, but are not limited to helping to conduct basic therapeutic intervention for routine psychological conditions as well as carrying out and scoring of basic neuropsychological screenings. He or she will receive training and be provided with appropriate supervision and guidance in the process of conducting these activities.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conducts initial interview and assist to provide basic therapeutic intervention for mild/routine psychological conditions such as providing supportive counselling or teaching relaxation techniques.
- Conducts psychometric testing such as assessment of general intelligence and performing neuro-psychological baseline screening.
- Assists to run intervention groups or help to provide psycho-education to patient and family.
- Does the above activities under the guidance/supervision of a fully trained psychologist.
- Keeps workload statistics and manages the necessary paperwork (e.g., filing of assessment protocol within department) as required.
- Assists the department as needed for quality improvement projects such as helping with data collation.
- Uses psychological based knowledge and therapy in patient intervention and care.
**The Requirements**
Bachelor’s qualification in Psychology, preferably with Honours.
