Reporting To: Senior Manager, Quality Management
1. You will be responsible for contracts’ Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) matters such as introducing, developing, and reinforcing the implementation of WSH plan, programmes (documentation, Permit-To-Work (PTW), meetings, ad-hoc inspections, trainings, WSH promotions and awareness) to continually improve WSH performance across all facilities which require WSHO.
2. Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with WSH Act and other legislations, and/or contract’s WSH requirements.
3. Work closely and provide guidance for facilities and/or project managers on all WSH issues and/or resolve any non-compliances and queries.
4. Organise and/or participate in WSH education program such as training, talks, and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the persons employed on the site to establish a safe and healthy working environment.
5. Able to conduct independently and professionally joint and/or individual periodic WSH site inspections to ensure that all site activities are carried out in compliance with MOM, NEA and/or other related regulations for all workplaces.
6. Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position.
7. Supports and/or provide improvement to the Corporate WSH yearly initiatives, WSH playbook, procedures, any ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor
**Requirements**:
- Registered with MOM as WSHO
- Must possess a WSQ Specialist Diploma in Safety & Health / Degree in Occupational Health or relevant degree
- At least 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer
- Good knowledge of WSH Act and other WSH related compliance
- Applicant with FSM Certificate and Licensed ECO (Environmental Control Officer) is an added advantage
- Good communication skills
- Good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour
