JOB Title**:Specialist, Controllership ROA** ORG UNIT**:Corporate Finance** LOCATION (CITY/COUNTRY)**: Singapore** **JOB PURPOSE**: This role is the controller for the regional hub (SABIC Asia Pacific Pte Limited, "SAPPL") in Rest of Asia and some other entities in Singapore and Australia. As regional hub, SAPPL contributes a revenue of $7 billion from amount perspective and 6~7 mmt from volume perspective. On top of that, most of the business leaders (L3 and L4) at RoA level are based in SAPPL, who are the important stakeholders of this role to manage. The role is expected to act as a mini-CFO for these entities with following key deliverables: - To be the finance business partner to the leadership teams in the legal entities - To provide governance and controllership assurance to the business - to be the focal person of finance in front of internal governance bodies (e.g. board of directors) and external authorities and stakeholders. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Provide governance and controllership assurance to business in Legal Entities to ensure SABIC economic interest protected, financial reporting standards and SABIC/local compliance requirement followed. - Provide business partnering to board of directors and management with timely insightful business analysis to drive meaningful business decisions - Being the representative of Finance to the region and in the respective legal entities, lead and coordinate** **all finance teams to form one finance view to business - Lead the internal control and global/statutory finance compliance process in the legal entities and the management of finance risks to the leadership of the legal entities - Understand the complex regulatory landscape in the countries covered, take the lead to ensure the regulatory compliance of business in these legal entities and translate the regulatory requirement - Represent Finance to the Board of Legal entities and provide necessary finance business partnering support - Provide financial advisory to the leadership for the legal entity business operation - Accommodate complementary structure to EPM and liaise with legal entity management, analyze and track legal entity performance - Lead the process to provide quality assurance for the financials of the entities in scope - Lead the process to ensure on-time and high-quality group and statutory financial reporting, including external auditors' verification - Monitor the financial operation and closing process and provide necessary advise and support - Lead the APAC coordination work in the focus domain assigned (e.g. Revenue Recognition) - Lead and Support global corporate finance projects at legal entity level (e.g. GEM review, Scout and etc) - Lead or Participate controllership enhancement projects in RoA - Represent Finance at legal entity level for external authorities and stakeholders and maintain healthy relationship in Singapore and Australia - Represent Corporate Finance at legal entity level for internal cross-function teams - Be the controllership gate keeper and perform required legal entity finance authority activities (e.g. financial sign-off, company chop and etc) **MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**: - Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance - Desirable completion of post-graduate executive programs in areas which include CPA,CMA - Broad and excellent knowledge of fiscal /legal / governance requirements and business processes - Broad and excellent knowledge of business administration/accounting requirements (IFRS) - Job experiences with Big 4 firms is a plus - Working knowledge of consolidation and reporting of consolidated financial statements - 10+ years working experience in Finance and Accounting including general ledger closing and legal entity reporting - 3+ years in management position is a plus
