About the opportunity

Wego’s Staff Engineers are our technical leaders, charting the right course through at least our next 3 years of growth. They bring world class technical chops and communication skills to tackle design and architectural problems spanning the company. They improve organization-wide standards around delivering software and the art of running software in production.

This position is available as an in-office arrangement in our offices in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

This role would be a good fit for you if you:A

Have strong frontend expertise, particularly in JavaScript-related technologies since that is what most of our current apps are built on. As a technical leader, you challenge both yourself and the frontend organization on whether our current choices will continue to make sense in the uncertain future.

Place great value on software quality. You have experience finding optimal ways to maintain a high level of quality via automated testing and thoughtful code reviews.

Have experience with A/B or multivariate testing tools and product analytics. At Wego, we believe in a balance between both quantitative and qualitative analysis when crafting user experiences.

Like to reflect about how we can improve as an organization. Staff Engineers at Wego are often dissatisfied with the current state of affairs, and bring a combination of technical innovation, expertise and systems thinking to set the organization up for success several years ahead.
