**About the Team**:
The SEA regional legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our local communities across the region.

This fulltime position will be based in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Primarily advise on a broad range of product compliance issues, including consumer protection, intellectual property, platform liability, and certain other industry specific regulations with respect to TikTok and other products
- Provide pragmatic day-to-day advice to manage legal risks while advancing business objectives
- Prepare/review terms and conditions applicable to the relevant products/features
- Monitor relevant legislative developments and advise on business impact and recommend action items
- Effectively collaborate with regional and international business and cross-functional colleagues to provide globally aligned legal advice that appropriately balances local and global perspectives and needs
- Contribute to the development, implementation and upgrading of relevant toolkits of the legal team, identifying and resolving opportunities to simplify workflows and keep up with growth
- Engage, instruct, and manage external counsel as necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Qualification to practice law and in good standing in Singapore, US or a common law jurisdiction.
- Prior private practice experience in a highly regarded law firm.
- Significant experience in platform liability, intellectual property, consumer protection, regulatory and compliance schemes applicable to new technology and user/third-party agreements.
- Experience in navigating highly ambiguous environments, especially in emerging markets.
- Motivated, efficient, and organized with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver creative, thoughtful and business-oriented results that appropriately balance business growth and legal risk.
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, including the ability to distill complex legal issues efficiently and effectively for a business audience, often in novel or ambiguous situations.
- Experience working in an international team is a plus, fluent in English.
- Driven, high integrity, self-starting, adaptable, excellent judgment.
