**Who is the Manager, Monetization & Partner Strategy-SEA**
The Monetization Manager will support the Director, Monetization & Partner Strategy in driving and executing monetization strategies across second-hand mobile phones and laptops within the SEA region. This role will focus on supporting the development and operationalization of second-life device programs, maximizing revenue from trade-ins, protection plans, upgrades, and refurbishments.
This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, monitoring program performance, coordinating with internal teams, and helping to identify and implement improvements.
This position requires a strong understanding of device resale, trade-in processes, and cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders, as well as a data-driven approach to optimizing monetization efforts.
**What are the key responsibilities?**
- Assist the Monetization & Strategy Lead in the execution of monetization strategies for second-hand devices across multiple channels and regions (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand).
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of second-life device programs, including trade-ins, resale, and refurbishment, ensuring smooth execution and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing) and external partners (e.g., auction sites, refurbishment partners) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of monetization strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each monetization program, analysing data to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement in program effectiveness and profitability.
- Gather insights and provide recommendations to the Monetization & Strategy Lead on market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to help optimize program strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on program performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Maintain accurate records of partnerships, agreements, and key contacts.
- Work closely with the Monetization & Strategy Lead to identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains in the monetization lifecycle.
- Assist in managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners involved in the liquidation, refurbishment, and resale of second-hand devices, ensuring effective collaboration and maximized profitability.
- Provide support for the implementation of regional strategies, ensuring that local market nuances are considered and addressed to optimize performance in each market.
**Here’s what you’ll bring to the team**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, monetization, or program management, with a strong track record in the device trade-in, second-hand market, or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with pricing models, auction platforms, refurbishment, and resale channels for second-hand devices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
- Familiarity with the APAC market, including regional trends and customer behaviour, is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills in APAC languages are an advantage.
