**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Maritime Sustainability and Supply Chain Excellence, the Principal Maritime Sustainability will provide maritime decarbonisation expertise to support BHP’s decarbonisation strategy.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

- Preparing complex scenario modelling and business case analysis supporting decarbonisation investment decisions.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and emerging trends of maritime future fuel adoption, bunkering infrastructure initiatives, vessel design transition and the overall energy transition outlook and how that aligns with BHP’s decarbonisation strategy.
- Supporting the maritime team on corporate wide industry leading sustainability strategic initiatives, promoting Maritime’s decarbonisation road map.
- Support engagements with strategic partners, consortiums and ecosystem collaborations in line with BHP’s decarbonisation strategy.
- Work with Maritime leadership and the Maritime ecosystem on developing Maritime’s strategic orientation and monitoring its implementation, coordination and integration within Maritime and the Maritime ecosystem.
- Seek out industry partners to test joint innovation initiatives to deliver on innovation projects ensuring alignment with Maritime Strategy.
- Prepare maritime reports on decarbonisation for internal and external audiences.

**About You**:
You will have:

- 5 - 10 years experience in Maritime decarbonisation, Marine Engineering, Business Analysis;
- Degree qualified in Maritime Studies, Climate Change, Maritime Engineering, Business Analysis (Post graduate qualification preferable);
- A deep understanding of the Maritime industry and the energy transition outlook.
- The ability to lead maritime decarbonisation projects and prepare business case materials.
- Extremely detailed orientated and has the ability to work closely and connect effortlessly with all levels of the organisation to deliver industry leading decarbonisation projects.
