As a **Data Platform Engineer** you'd be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize, build and maintain the data platform (Kafka, RDS, and S3).
- Build data pipelines to enable scalable processing of large volumes of data
- Manage the infrastructure and the cloud platform that manage and house the data for realtime and batch processing for the Bank
- Work with stakeholders to identify and solve business needs related to advanced data processing
- Take on adhoc responsibilities in the Data platform and Engineering space
- Work closely with stakeholders across all areas of the bank to provide clear expertise on data related issues

In order to be successful at the role, you must have the following:

- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or area with strong quantitative content
- At least 5 years of working experience in DevOps, Platform and data engineering with deep knowledge of Kafka and RDMS.
- Strong knowledge and experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Fluency in Python, Spark, HIVE-QL, Hadoop eco-system, data-centric workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark), Unix/Linux/K8s environments
- Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS
- Good working knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines

**Role Specific Technical Competencies**
