Local Safety and Training Coordinator

**Job Purpose**:
This role shall manage, maintain, and implement safety, quality, and training programs in support of the Regional Director - APAC. The role will report to the Regional Director - APAC for the design, development, and deployment of safety, quality, and training programs within the Singapore office.

**Responsibilities and Associated Duties**:

- Support the team with the Head of International Safety to establish, implement, and maintain suitable and sufficient safety, quality, and training programs across UA Singapore;
- Manage and ensure continuity of certification for the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH);
- Ensure UA Singapore personnel maintain training proficiency at all times, including (but not limited to):

- Safety management systems;
- Ground support equipment;
- Hazard and risk assessment;
- Safety reporting;
- Airside safety;
- Airside driving;
- Manual handling; and
- Fire safety.
- Direct local operations for mishap investigations in support of the Safety Services Office;
- Create, manage, and distribute local safety metrics;
- Owner/Author of local safety publications;
- Direct the operations of the annual safety audit program in conjunction with the Safety Services Office;
- Creation, maintenance, and distribution of:

- Health and Safety management manual;
- Ramp Operations manual;
- Emergency response plan.
- Uploading and distribution of safety related material through Microsoft Teams;
- Maintain records in regard to safety management, quality management, and training programs.

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate aviation would be an advantage;
- 5+ years’ experience in health, safety, and welfare;
- 5+ years’ experience in training;
- 5+ years’ experience in auditing;
- Experience in accident investigation would be an advantage;
- Proficient in the administration and management of Safety Management Systems;
- Extensive experience in Aviation; and

**Other Requirements**
- Be able to perform shift work and assist with handling operations as required;
- Be able to work airside and maintain applicable ID passes and driving permits; and
- Maintain airside operational and aircraft handling skills and competence.
