Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time Risk Analyst to serve as an embedded contract employee within the Global Security department of one of our multinational corporate clients in the technology sector.

**About US**: ERI is a global risk and security intelligence advisory firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas with offices in Austin, Washington DC, Greater Boston, and the United Kingdom. We support Global Security, Risk Management and other risk-focused departments of Fortune 500 companies and multi-national organizations. We help our clients assess risk to their organizations; whether that risk emanates from geopolitics, security threats, economic forces or regulatory initiatives that may impact bottom-line revenue or threaten personnel and company assets.

**ERI operates five lines of business**:

- _Assessment and Analysis_: We provide our clients daily, subscription-based and bespoke geopolitical and threat intelligence services.
- _Training_: We train intelligence analysts to serve effectively in corporate environments. Our training offerings include focus on tradecraft and tools that drive more efficient and effective analysis. We offer a range of in-house and open trainings to address specific levels of experience and need.
- _Online Platform_: We offer a subscription-based online portal that provides a workspace environment for security intelligence analysts, combining ERI’s expert analysis with hundreds of curated datasets and our suite of data visualization tools.
- _Embedded Analyst Services_: We support our clients with embedded analysts, full
- and part-time, short

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Conduct research using open source, vendor tools, and social media to provide analysis on geopolitical and private sector intelligence issues with potential impact to client
- Work alongside Fusion Center staff within large, matrixed security organization to supply analytical content for alerts and site or event security assessments.
- Collaborate with other analysts on joint products and engage in peer editing and reviews
- Develop understanding of client’s operations, supply chain, services and assets around the globe and track potential impactful global issues
- Actively foster internal and external relationships to facilitate better information flow and understanding of the needs of the business
- Establish relationships with other security sector analysts, local, state, and federal security services
- Occasional availability outside of normal business hours, including ability to respond to a crisis 24- 7
- Work within the intelligence program to bring aspirational and current-state goals to fruition, assist with documentation and standard operating procedures as needed

**Remuneration**:This role will be a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position.
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in government or private sector intelligence, protective intelligence or geopolitical risk analysis
- Excellent English writing skills
- Experience with open-source research and social media monitoring
- Business experience is a plus
- Fluency in languages other than English
- Fluency in Mandarin preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Background in international relations, international business, journalism, economics or a related field
- Working knowledge of information technology and trends in technology is preferred
- Experience living or studying abroad
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Proficiency and understanding of social media and open-source intelligence collection and analysis
- Basic cybersecurity (basic understanding of risks) and its intersection with physical security risks
- An inquisitive mind, positive attitude and genuine love of continuous learning
- Self-motivated, able to manage time and prioritize effectively and demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles to get the job done
- Strong work ethic and commitment
