About this position

We are seeking for a highly motivated, independent, and technically strong professional to join our audit team mainly as an in-house expert. You will be part of the team to provide technical expertise, advisory and compliance checks, surrounding professional standards involving valuation work.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the review of working papers prepared by clients and/or audit engagement team relating to the appropriateness of carrying amounts of assets/liabilities that are measured using fair value and/or recoverable values with reference to the financial reporting standards and posing relevant challenges and questions on the valuation methodology, key inputs and assumptions used by management.
- Able to perform or be trained to carry out aforementioned work, with reference to applicable/relevant valuation related standards and market practices/guidelines, relating to the appropriateness of the fair value or recoverable value(s) of businesses, intellectual property, financial instruments, etc.
- Guide and assist the audit engagement team in their course of work to clearly articulate the rationales for the valuation conclusions as and when necessary.
- To carry out training and workshops to provide updates or upskill the auditors in relevant and related knowledge for them to improve their review of working papers.
- Other ad-hoc projects that may require your involvement.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3 - 5 years of audit experience, preferably from an international public accounting firm.
- Valuation experience preferred, with audit background.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
