Our Client is Chemical Manufacture, now they are looking for Buyer. The Buyer (Technical & MRO) main responsibility is to support Technical Procurement Operations to source, plan and negotiate on all Maintenance Related Purchases and ensure timely delivery of “non-BOM Materials” to the Maintenance Department. This role is also responsible for the execution and support of various Projects within both the Purchasing and Maintenance Department. You will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager.
【What will you be working on】
- MRO Procurement Strategy Planning
- Execute Maintenance Department purchasing activities in accordance with Company Legal Obligations, Purchasing Policies, Systems and Strategies
- Develop cost targets for negotiations, strategy, development and negotiating supply agreements.
- Develop, control and Monitoring of Maintenance cost savings and Reduction Plans; including Cost tracking and ongoing reporting and communication to management and stakeholders.
- Support in implementation and participate in the continuous improvement effort in the areas of Safety, Quality, Environment and Health Management Systems (for example SS506 part 3, ISO9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001)
- Supplier KPIs and Relationship Management
- Lead supplier evaluation and selection process, qualification of alternative sources.
- Manage and Analyze Supplier’s Performance
- Act as Liaison for resolving supplier/product-related issues on assigned materials/services, MRO Procurement Infrastructure
- Collecting, Updating, Compiling, Analyzing and Filing Maintenance Purchasing Related Data and Maintenance User Requirements
- Improve and Fine Tune Existing Technical and MRO Procurement Infrastructure; Develop New Procurement Infrastructure if needed.
- Enable and ensure integration of MRO inventory data into CMMS ( Computerized Inventory Management System)
- MRO Procurement Operations
- To issue and administer Purchase Orders using SAP system/Manual PO system and whichever IT system is in use.
- Invoices and Documentation Matching and Verifications.
- To support additional jobs/requirements, within an executive capability level, as and when required/delegated by Purchasing Manager.
- ** Requirement**:

- Minimum Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in technical and MRO purchases in a manufacturing or Petrochemical Industry or EPC Contractor Preferred.
- Technical Purchases refers to the procurement of items or services like compressors, Mechanical Seal, fabrication/modification of Mechanical Parts; Insulation; Electrical and Instrumentation etc.
- Full and good working knowledge of procurement process and procedure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially in Excel, Word, etc.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS preferred
- ** Working Hour**: 8:30 ~ 17:15
