Job Title: Assistant Professor in Cardiovascular-Metabolic Sciences and Medicine

**Position Overview**
The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is Singapore’s oldest and Asia’s top medical school, celebrating its 125th year anniversary in 2025. Today, the school produces cutting edge and impactful research, together with innovative education, seeking to impact change and enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond. The School is an integral part of a comprehensive university (NUS), with deep collaborative platforms across engineering, computer science, social science, public health, and others, and a long standing joint venture in the National University Health System (NUHS). The NUHS ecosystem is Singapore’s premier Academic Health Centre, encompassing three tertiary hospitals (National University Hospital, Ng Teng Fong Hospital and Alexander Hospital), three national specialist centres (National University Heart Centre, National University Cancer Institute and National University Centre for Oral Health), a primary care system and three health schools (medical school, dental school and school of public health), lending invaluable resource for clinical and translational research, not commonly found elsewhere. Together with other healthcare partners and research institutes in Singapore, the school is an important player in Singapore’s vibrant research and biotech ecosystem.
.Key Responsibilities**Research**:Conduct cutting-edge research in the wide field of cardiovascular-metabolic sciences and medicine, ranging across all topics of cell biology, genomics, molecular biology and physiology of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Secure external funding, publish in high-impactful work, and present findings at national and international conferences.
**Teaching**: Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to cardiovascular-metabolic sciences. Mentor and supervise students, including undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral fellows.
**Qualifications**
**Education**:PhD or MD.
**Experience**: Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
**Skills**: Strong background in cardiovascular-metabolic disease research. Proven ability to secure research funding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
