DESIGNATION : Senior Manager (Events), OAFA

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helm and oversee all event operations and their seamless delivery with the support of working committees within the department, creating and driving forward SMU Admissions’ events for stakeholders at all levels while collaborating and communicating with internal colleagues and external vendors.
- Continually raise the quality standards across all of Admissions’ signature events by keeping up-to-date with new and creative event ideas and event delivery methods and technologies from across Singapore and the region, to ensure best-in-class quality for all of Admissions’ signature events.
- Conduct local outreach and grow strong relationships with key partner schools in Singapore and work with schools to organise sharing sessions, school fairs and campus visits throughout the year.
- Conduct international outreach and grow strong relationships with key partner schools in Asia. Work with schools and prospective students internationally to organize information sessions, school fairs, school visits, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A university degree in any discipline.
- Excellent event management and project management skills, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, seamless and effective events with strong conversion outcomes.
- Understanding of trends across the higher education sector and ability to adapt these back into SMU’s context.
- High energy level, with strong organisational, collaborative project planning and multi-tasking skills and a good eye for detail.
- Demonstrates a potential for customer service orientation and ability to respond to different types of personalities.
- Strong interest in the higher education industry, as well as in engaging with pre-university students and parents.
- Global orientation, with a willingness to travel.
