Meta's Automation engineering team builds the software services and systems solutions to deliver best of class hardware validation tools and infra for every rack and server operating at Meta’s Data Centers around the world.We are looking for a passionate engineer with experience building and operationalizing distributed systems at scale. Then this role is for you and we'd love to meet youCome join the team to help us develop full stack solutions used by Meta engineers and deployed at hardware validation labs and manufacturing sites. As part of the automation engineering team, you will collaborate with our manufacturing, hardware validation, production engineering, and hardware design teams to create and implement test automation solutions operating at scale on production lines.In this role you will oversee and define the roadmap of an end-to-end set of solutions that span provisioning, scheduling, and analytics and play a key part in the efficiency and quality of all servers operating in Meta’s data centers.

**Automation Software Engineer Responsibilities**:

- Implement Hardware validation solutions at Hardware Labs and Manufacturing sites worldwide
- Define and develop User Interfaces to support manufacturing and repair workflows
- Design and develop provisioning solutions that scale across a variety of hardware platforms including, but not limited to, compute, storage, and network equipment
- Lead enhancements of automation for continuous integration, release, and configuration management across global sites
- Interface with partners to assist in troubleshooting and debug

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Experience in developing and implementing scalable distributed systems, and/or manufacturing platforms solutions for compute, storage, and network systems
- Experience operating in Linux/Unix environments with knowledge of networking and network boot
- Experience scripting in Python and/or any other related language
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- MS in computer science or computer engineering.
- 15+ years of industry experience.
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience with end-to-end design and deployment cycle of a product.
- Experience with developing distributed systems operating at scale.
- Experience with software and network debugging, profiling, and instrumentation techniques.
