Vice President, Risk Management

**Core Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Provide independent risk oversight across investment mandates
- Design and implement relevant risk analytics and monitoring for all investment mandates
- Ensure appropriate risk management information is produced, reviewed and presented at appropriate intervals to management
- Review existing and proposed derivative transactions in context of investment thesis
- Design appropriate process control, reporting of derivative transactions and exposures
- Advocate of the overall derivative SOP and systems control requirements for derivative trade life cycle
- Engage senior management and the business on derivative risk management framework and limits, balancing business needs and risks
- Contribute to the development and institutionalisation of risk policies and processes
- Support a culture of risk transparency and effective challenge
- Risk data management ranging from sourcing data, processing it to generate analytics and distributing risk data to end users
- Participate in the firm’s data management forum as a risk data steward
- Provide leadership in automating and streamlining risk reporting via Qlik or other platforms

**Professional Experience/Qualifications**
- 8 -12 years of successful track record as a risk professional in both buy and sell-side organisations with ample experience of delivering across an organisation.
- Familiar with buy-side investment processes of liquid traded fund strategies and illiquid private investment strategies
- Fundamental working knowledge of major investable asset classes, with focus on equities, and their risk characteristics gained from experience in institutional investment management and/or risk management
- Deep understanding of derivatives and its usage in context of portfolio management
- Working experience of a range of risk analytics and tools such as Riskmetrics and Barra or similar, to generate risk analytics and portfolio insights
- Experience with pricing models for equity derivatives, review and risk assess of structuring term sheets
- Experience with implementing SOPs for trade execution to be compliant to investment mandates and discretion
- Familiar with various risk controls in derivative transaction life cycle
