**About this role**
The consultant will provide specialist security risk, strategy, and planning security consultancy services, employing world’s best-practice solutions in bringing commercially focused security solutions to clients’ business activities. This role will need to understand the design process and the approach to formulate security requirements to develop comprehensive security plans for various types of projects. The role operates primarily within the Singapore marketplace and will contribute to the other services provided by Arup’s Resilience, Security & Risk practice within the Australasia Region.

**What will I do?**
- You will need to understand the security planning and design concepts and the capability to turn the concepts into design. (e.g., Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design), also to understand the risk assessment methodologies and able to perform Threat Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA) for security threats
- Provide protective security engineering (electronic and protective) design; Physical security designs can include vehicle security barriers, intruder-resistant materials, mechanical lockset, fencing etc.
- Prepare and deliver design documentation with reports for clients summarizing key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to confirm security requirements during design process and provide detailed technical security input with best advise outcomes
- Coordinate design related issues with other disciplines as part of a multi-disciplinary design team and assist with the development of an efficient and commercially viable Resilience, Security and Risk practice

**What will I bring?**
- Preferably degree in engineering or security management and recognized as a competent Person Security under Singapore’s Infrastructure Protection Act with at least 2 years of experience in Security Consultant
- Ability to adopt a consultative approach when gathering information
- Demonstrates developing skills in management and/or design, technical and recognise the best practices, enabling a quick solution
- Effectively manage time, quality, and performance of projects with established quality, budget and project expectations.
- Able to establish and maintain good relationships with private sectors clients, government agencies, professional firms, and consultants relevant to the team’s activities.
