We have an exciting new job opportunity and are looking to hire a Sr. Data Center Engineering Specialist (to be based in JCAP)

**Purpose of the position**

Under the direction of Manager, Global Data Center Engineering, you will be responsible for delivery and maintenance of high quality, reliable, and cost-effective services to support and operate Infrastructure products and services in Technology Spaces (Global and Regional Data Centers, colocation facilities and Local Computer Rooms). The role can be fully remote and is preferably based in Singapore.

Our Global Data Center Engineering organization supports delivery of Technology Space products and services in support of new builds, renovations, consolidations, relocations, migrations, and decommissions. Our team consists of 7 senior professionals based in Belgium, US and Singapore and we support all data centers globally.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Support delivery of Technology Space products and services in support of new builds, renovations, consolidations, relocations, migrations, and decommissions.
- Maintain active and direct interaction with customers and stakeholders to gather and understand site business requirements and provide feedback into our company's Global Data Center strategic initiatives.
- Provide engineering services to meet business needs based on holistic understanding of Technology Space Operations (Facilities, Operations, IT systems, SAN, NAS, Network, Database, systems administration, Incident and DR practices, Cloud).
- Manage documentation, Standard Operation Procedures, and internal Standards for Technology Space products and services.
- Plan and coordinate activities with vendors to deliver Technology Space services and initiatives.

**WHAT YOU MUST HAVE**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- 5+ years’ experience designing and deploying hosting solutions supporting servers, storage, and virtualization technologies across multiple vendors in a heterogeneous environment.
- High degree of initiative and dependability. Experience with supporting Data Center and mission critical services 24/7, responding to service interruptions at any time.
- Excellent technical written, diagramming, documenting, and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as laymen.
- Available to travel approximately 15% of time.
- Located in the JCAP region, preferably Singapore.
- Understanding of UPS systems, HVAC systems, fire protection, room design and other physical infrastructure associated with the hosting of mission critical services.
- Data Center Certifications such as CDCDP, DCDC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Fluent in English'
