**Job Description**:
Job Summary

You will perform a wide variety of diagnostic tests on patient specimens and report results of the tests according to established protocols in the Biochemistry Section of the Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and in the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), to help clinicians diagnose, treat diseases, and monitor therapy.

You will also perform receiving and sorting of specimens, assessing suitability of specimens for testing, data entry of test requests, and rejection of specimens that are unsuitable for testing.

You will participate in quality assurance and quality control programmes in the Section, assists in phlebotomy for inpatients, assists in providing on-the-bench training for new staff and attachment students, assists in initiatives to review and improve processes within the Section to achieve organisational goals, and supports the Section Leader in operational and administrative matters.

**Requirements**:
Preferably Bachelor's Degree and above in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or any other equivalent qualification.
Possesses good organisation, coordination, communication, and computer skills.
Relevant Experience in Chromatography preferred
Able to work 3-rotating-shift work patterns, including staggered and extended working hours, and coverage after hours and on weekends and public holidays to meet the needs of the department and hospital.
