Roles & Responsibilities

**Role Description**:
The Cost Accountant will be based in Singapore and report to the Financial Controller (FC). He/ she responsible for performing cost analysis and preparing budget reports and advise management about operations and costs for the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Development and implementation and maintenance of accurate costing systems in relation to material supply, labour and production methods.
- Product costing, standard cost updates, analysis on cost variance and prepare costing reports.
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation and inventory ageing reports.
- Construct inventory costing data accumulation systems and review cost accounting system control.
- Calculate raw material, work in process, and finished goods costs.
- Develop, review and analyse comprehensive inventory margin reports, research data anomalies and correct underlying issues to ensure correct cost analyses and profitability reporting.
- Analyse the cost of goods sold in relation to month over month inventory balances.
- Analyse and report on cost and spending variances, highlighting root causes.
- Month-end closing activities and ensuring financial accounting related to revenue and costing is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analysing reports and tools that identify cost exceptions and working with cross function teams to predict and improve cost of production.
- Have a good work relationship with relevant departments to derive costing estimates.
- To give assistance in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Any other ad-hoc support accounting and finance duties.
**Specifications/Requirements **(Education, Experience, Skills):

- Possess minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- At least 3 years of costing accounting experience.
- Ability to take initiative, guide and influence others towards goal accomplishment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Strong team player, organized and possess a high attention to detail.
