Senior Test Development Engineer

Our Client is a listed Japanese MNC and they are the global leader in the provision of smart metering solutions. They have been at the forefront of the industry for more than 40 years. They own and maintains several manufacturing facilities strategically located globally to ensure efficiency in production and on-time delivery of high-quality products.

**SENIOR TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
- Responsible for overall test strategy, test plan and defining the test platform.
- Involve during product development stage and feedback the best manufacturing test practice.
- Responsible for the design, development and implementation of production testing in-house and outsource.
- Develop new test setup, procedures, tools to automate test activities or liaise with vendors.
- Identify/develop new equipment or test methods to improve test cycle time.
- Responsible for testing efficiency, test yield improvement, test time reduction and test elimination, test flow optimization and parallel testing.
- Review the test requirement, verify and maintain the document. Test reports, Test software, resource library and source code.
- Release development timeline, test specification and follow up updating the progress to meet target delivery date.
- Responsible to qualify the test hardware and software to meet the test accuracy and precision, conduct GR&R validation.
- Collaborate with HW Engineers, FW Engineers prospects to gather and define requirements.
- Ensure design engineers release the test requirement document.
- Review and feedback the test coverage, cycle time optimization and firm up the requirement document.
- Responsible for hardware and software revision control, buyoff and proper documentation of all test hardware and software.
- Ensure proper buyoff procedure is conducted when transfer new tester during new product introduction and site transfer.
- Revision control to ensure use of latest version for production, and retention of historical versions.
- Ensure completeness of documentation and knowledge retention and maintaining up to date.
- Conduct training for all related staff for smooth implementation and support.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience at relevant test development and test automation background;
- Strong technical background and able to lead the team;
- Work experience in Energy meter Manufacturing Industry is advantageous;
- Ability to multitask and strong computer knowledge;
- **Able to travel frequently **;
- Good interpersonal skills.
