**Responsibilities**:

The Services required are set out as follows:
Daily duties:
1. Preparation of equipment and / or teaching and learning aids for experiments conducted by teachers and students from Primary 3 to Primary 6

2. Replenishing items that are consumed eg limewater, iodine, paper towels, hand soap 3. Tidying up the science rooms

Semestral duties:
1. File and maintain record of equipment (as per in stock list) in the Science Rooms
*
*
As and when needed:
1. Maintaining the equipment eg microscopes in the Science Rooms are in good working order

2. Assisting the Head of Department and Level Head to liaise with vendors.

3. Assisting in science activities e.g. science week activities and other adhoc administrative activities such as keying in of inventory items

4. Assisting science teachers in conducting laboratory activities

5. Any other duties as assigned by Head of Department / Level Head / teacher-in-charge

Job Qualifications:

The Personnel shall mínimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

**Education**:
1. Secondary qualifications
- GCE ‘O’ Levels (not a necessity, where relevant work experience is considered)

**Experience**:
1. Preferably have relevant experience and knowledge working as a Science Laboratory Assistant in a primary school environment and/or Skills:
2. Resourceful to prepare learning aids using existing materials, for students to explore during laboratory work, leading to cost savings

3. Meticulous, pro-active, a keen eye for details eg designing learning aids for students that must be age appropriate and keeping in mind students’ safety

4. Willing to learn with a positive “can-do” attitude, flexible, open to suggestions and ideas

Contract length: 10 months

Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

**Salary**: $900.00 - $1,400.00 per month
